UHF RFID wire and cable flags for efficient marking
These polypropylene UHF RFID wire and cable flag labels are designed for clear and durable marking of cables and wires in indoor applications. The flag label is secured around the cable, ensuring that information remains clearly visible without damaging the cable. This makes the label particularly well-suited for environments where organization, structure, and traceability are essential, such as technical installations, warehouses, and manufacturing environments.
Thanks to the integrated UHF RFID chip, cables can be identified and tracked not only visually but also digitally.
UHF RFID technology with a long read range
The RFID flag label operates at UHF frequencies within the 860–960 MHz range and complies with the EPC Class 1 Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6C standards. This makes the label compatible with common UHF RFID readers and existing RFID infrastructures.
The maximum read range is up to 11 meters, allowing cables and wires to be identified from a distance without physical contact. The NXP UCODE 8 chip used in the label offers stable performance and reliable data transmission, making it suitable for inventory management, inspections, and maintenance work.
Compact polypropylene flag design
Measuring 34 × 24 mm, this RFID flag label is compact and suitable for a wide range of cable diameters. The matte white polypropylene material ensures clear visual readability and prevents glare under artificial lighting.
The label is designed for indoor use and operates reliably within a temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C during use. The material itself can withstand higher temperatures up to 130 °C, providing extra safety in case of occasional exposure to heat.
Reliable adhesion and durable construction
The RFID chip is attached to an aluminum antenna using anisotropic conductive film adhesive. This design ensures consistent electrical performance and stable readability throughout the label’s entire service life.
The permanent acrylic adhesive ensures a strong bond to non-metallic surfaces such as plastic and cable jackets. This keeps the flag label securely in place, even when subjected to vibrations or during prolonged use.
Suitable for thermal transfer printing and industrial processing
The RFID tags are suitable for thermal transfer printing and can be printed with text, codes, or additional identification. They come with RFID encoding and are fully inspected during production.
The labels are wound outward and come in rolls of 500, with any non-conforming labels marked. They are compatible with industrial printers such as the Sato CL4NX Plus, ensuring efficient processing within existing labeling workflows.
Applications in engineering and logistics
These UHF RFID wire and cable tags are used for cable identification, data and telecom installations, component labeling, and general identification. They support processes in industries such as construction, healthcare, laboratories, manufacturing, and warehouse logistics.
For organizations looking to combine cable management with digital traceability, these RFID flag labels offer a practical and future-proof solution.
