The Brady FR22 Fixed RFID Reader LTE EU is designed for fixed RFID applications where reliability, flexibility, and autonomous connectivity are essential. This model in the FR22 series is designed for industrial environments where no fixed network infrastructure is available or where maximum placement flexibility is required. Thanks to its integrated LTE module, the reader can operate completely autonomously within manufacturing environments, logistics sites, and remote facilities.

Advanced UHF RFID engine for high performance

The FR22 LTE is equipped with a next-generation UHF RFID engine based on the latest technology. This enables the reader to read and process up to 1,000 RFID tags per second, even in high-density tag environments and complex reading conditions. Support for the ISO 18000-63 EPC Class 1 Gen2 v2 standard ensures broad compatibility with common UHF RFID tags. With four RP-SMA antenna ports, the read field can be precisely tailored to specific processes such as checkpoints, production lines, or storage areas.

Built-in LTE connectivity without reliance on local networks

The distinguishing feature of this model is its fully integrated LTE connectivity. The FR22 LTE supports multiple LTE-FDD and LTE-TDD bands and communicates directly via cellular networks. This allows the reader to be used in locations without Ethernet or Wi-Fi, such as temporary production sites, outdoor areas, and mobile installations. In addition to LTE, the reader also supports Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C, and GPIO, ensuring that integration into existing infrastructures is always possible. If desired, the reader can also be powered and receive data via Power over Ethernet (PoE 802.3at).

Linux platform with web-based management and API integration

The FR22 LTE runs on a stable Linux operating system and features a quad-core A7 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of flash storage. You can fully configure and manage the reader remotely via the integrated web management interface. Developers can create their own web apps with a user interface, eliminating the need for an external PC or tablet. Integration with existing IT and OT systems is achieved via RESTful APIs, NUR API, OPC UA Auto-ID server, and SSH access.
